You see, I believe if they aren't only giving certain ones and never others, then your pieces may be area oriented. I'm not asking for codes or anything. Just the basic name of the board piece to see if others happen to get what our area does not. I appreciate your answers.I'm wondering if the Mcdonalds Monopoly game is a crock. Which pieces are you getting in your area?
My understanding has always been that by law they MUST print all the pieces. For example, they must print both a Park Place and Boardwalk game piece. HOWEVER, I've heard that they distribute them so that you don't necessarily have a change of winning. Like, they'll send Park Place to New York, and Boardwalk to California. I once had Park Place and my cousin in Florida had Boardwalk but by the time we got together it was too late to claim the prize.
Its not such a bad idea on the business end....sucks for the customers though.I'm wondering if the Mcdonalds Monopoly game is a crock. Which pieces are you getting in your area?
certain pieces are produced more then others, so everyone will get say oriental and Vermont ave but very few will get Connecticut. Also according to statistics, a area with a greater demand will have a greater chance of the pieces ending up there so your better of eating In New York City then Ogalala Nebraska(yes thats a real place)
The area does matter. I collect them and when I went out of state i ended up getting some pieces that i haven't seen many get down here in florida. But also the anwsers below that say about printing off thousands of one and few of the third final piece is true. But they print more than one or two.I'm wondering if the Mcdonalds Monopoly game is a crock. Which pieces are you getting in your area?
I don't think they are. I am sure they learned their lesson from the last time....they got in a lot of trouble for fixing that game years ago.
Everybody is getting the same pieces. The pieces needed to win will not be released until the end of the contest and only one or two of them.I'm wondering if the Mcdonalds Monopoly game is a crock. Which pieces are you getting in your area?
THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION IS..NO,THE CONTEST IS NOT A CROCK.
BY LAW ALL THE PIECES THAT ARE SUPPOST TO GO OUT DO GO OUT.BUT NOT ALL AT THE SAME TIME.THEY DO NOT WANT ALL THE GRAND PRIZES TO BE WON TOO EARLY IN A CONTEST,IF THAT HAPPENS,NO ONE WOULD BY THE FOOD FOR THE CONTEST.
AS FOR THE LEGAL MUMBO JUMBO..BELIEVE ME THE LAWS ARE VERY STRICT NOW.THEY CANT CHEAT,ALL THE WINNING PIECES MUST BE GIVEN OUT.SOMETIMES NO ONE WINS..THE REASON FOR THAT IS VERY SIMPLE...THE WINNING PIECE IS GIVEN OUT AT RANDOM AND IS GIVEN TO SOMEONE WHO IS NOT PLAYING THE GAME AND HE/SHE THROWS OUT THE WINNING PIECE IN THE GARBAGE..SAD BUT TRUE.IT HAS HAPPENED MORE THAN ONCE.
THAT IS WHY THEY PUT EXPIRY DATES ON THEIR CONTESTS..SO LOOK IN THE TRASH AT THE BIG M..YOU JUST MIGHT BE A WINNER..
GOOD LUCK
That would make sense - I often get many duplicates. But I think the scam is that there are certain very rare pieces that they make very few of, while the others are common. So you may get, say, two red pieces, but never find that last one because it's one of the rare ones.
i always get baltic ave and madison.
No. When is comes to how many of each piece, they make TONS of the same pieces.
Say if I`m trying to get 3 pieces, 2 of those 3 they print thousands of. While the last one, they only print 1 or two of. The area does not make a difference.
People do win it, but you may be right about what areas get what pieces. Though I think they're highly regulated by sweepstakes laws.
