Does anyone know what mcdonalds does with leftover monopoly pieces?

I think the monopoly games ends today in stores. Do they give them out on the food items until supplies last or do they trash them at midnight. I was wondering if it would be worth it to go in and ask for the left overs. Does anyone know what mcdonalds does with leftover monopoly pieces?
It really depends on the store. We personally got rid of all our extras. Some continue to use them. If stores have a full case of something, Martin Brower buys it back off of them. Right now we have a new promotion going on. Our large drinks have Red Box peel offs on them. They have codes for one free night rental. If you really want the extra pieces, I'd suggest dumpster diving. It doesn't matter, however, as all the major prizes are unattainable now. they dont always throw them out. some continue to use them untilo they are out. and even if you did ask, they most likely wont give them to you.Does anyone know what mcdonalds does with leftover monopoly pieces?

Believe it or not, they rip off the game pieces from the food containers and put them into a small bag under the counter. I don't know who gets them, but the Manager should destroy them. Last year, my Local McDonald's ran out of game pieces, so there wasn't any leftover ones.
