McDonalds Monopoly Code requests, do they work?

I read that you can request a free game piece by sending an envelope in the mail. Has anyone ever done this? and if so did you do it multiple times and were the game pieces the same or different? thanks all :)McDonalds Monopoly Code requests, do they work?
Take it from me, i work at a Mcdonald's, you can apply for free codes through the mail, but you do not get many and you more than likely will not get much out of it. What it comes down to is really just going in and buying something (large sweet teas in my are $1.00 and you get two pieces). Good luck to you
